Ndidi, was stretchered out of the Super Eagles World Cup qualification tie against Zambia last Saturday in Uyo, and it was feared that Ndidi had suffered a hamstring injury. He underwent further tests on return to Leicester on Tuesday even as Nigerian doctors declared him fit.
Shakespeare also said Jamie Vardy who missed out on England securing qualification for the World Cup will be available. Vardy was given injections after the draw at Bournemouth and was then given the international break off to recover. “There was a scare about Wilfred, but it was only cramp and he trained today fully. He’s fine so there’s no problems there.
“Vardy has fully recovered from his hip problem. He had injections and was given time away. There’s no ill effects. He has trained fully this week and looked sharp”, said Shakespeare.
